History
Dick Hempe started HP Auto Tech in 1981. The original location was on Route 9G in Hyde Park. In 1985, HP moved into the Dyson Racing building in Poughkeepsie and Rob Dyson bought the business. Pat Smith ( Dyson Racing crew chief ) became the manager of the shop at the time. He invited Ed Hosier to join both the race team and HP Auto Tech. In 2017 Rob Dyson acquired R&R Machine and combined both shops. Today HP Auto Tech is located in the Dyson Racing location at 38 Victory Lane.
